Amazonite stud earrings

Round amazonite set in fine silver bezel, with a decorative beaded surround. This stunning turquoise gemstone gets its name due to its similarity with the Amazon River, though it has never been found there! The stone of the female warrior, it was used by the Amazonians who adorned their shields with the gemstone, believing it added extra protection. Amazonite is relatively rare, and uniquely streaked with delicate lines of white quartz, giving it an alluring subtle sparkle. 
 
These stud earrings are kept secure with sterling silver butterfly backs.
