Hallmarking is a UK legal requirement when selling jewellery made using precious metals of a certain weight. For silver, this applies to items which weigh 7.78 grams or above.

My products requiring hallmarking are assessed at the Goldsmith's Company London Assay Office. Following approval, they are inscribed with a series of mark applied by laser. This give the guarantee that products have been independently tested for quality. The product can be traced to the manufacturer and the office in which it was assayed.
