Aquila teardrop moonstone pendant

A spectacular teardrop moonstone is set in fine silver, with a complimentary sterling silver surround. This elegant pendant is suspended from a quality 1.5mm thick curb chain.
 
With its striking luminescence, every moonstone is one-of-a kind. The beautiful 'adularescence', gives the signature iridescent flashes of blue when rotated. Use of this enticing stone for body adornment goes back into history; this bluish glow emitted from below the surface of the stone reminded ancient peoples of lunar light floating on water. In fact, the Ancient Greeks and Romans believed it was made of pieces of the moon! This stone is set with an open back in order to enhance this mesmerising play of light as the stone moves.
