Loa Earrings

'Anticlastic' drop earrings with stylish fine-brushed finish, handmade using traditional silversmithing techniques in 925 sterling silver. Coiled wire with bead secures and reinforces the base of the ear hook, and constrast with the simplicity of main body.  These earrings are branded with The Silver Bird maker’s mark and 925 quality stamp.
 
Anticlastic means opposite curvatures at a given point, curving convexly along a longitudinal plane section and concavely along the perpendicular. Anticlasticism can be found in both natural and man-made structures and is said to represents the infinity of the universe. The immaculate, brushed finish works perfectly with the modern form of each earring, adding a hint of shimmer to the surface of the metal.
