Moonstone twist pendant

A premium quality, high-flash moonstone is set in fine silver, with a decorative sterling silver twist embellishment. This elegant pendant is suspended from a quality 1.5mm thick curb chain and is branded with The Silver Bird maker's mark and 925 quality stamp.
 
With its striking luminescence, every moonstone is one-of-a kind. The beautiful 'adularescence', gives the signature iridescent flashes of blue when rotated. Use of this enticing stone for body adornment goes back into history; this bluish glow emitted from below the surface of the stone reminded ancient peoples of lunar light floating on water. In fact, the Ancient Greeks and Romans believed it was made of pieces of the moon! This stone is set with an open back in order to enhance this mesmerising play of light as the stone moves.
